The goal of the Epidemiology and Health Statistics Group is to improve the health of the population by serving as a source of expertise in research and academia through collaboration among African Researchers to better understand the public health and burden of diseases, etiology, prevention, and treatment of disease.

Through an interdisciplinary collaborative supporting environment, this group is committed to advancing the knowledge of early carrier researchers in study design methodology and analytic skills needed to conduct professional-level public health practice and public health research to improve health at the population level.

Dr. Amanuel a Ph.D. from Xi’an Jiaotong University, specializing in Epidemiology and Health Statistics. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience in higher institution. His research focuses on maternal and child health, adolescent health, population health, nutrition, infectious diseases, and health facility needs assessment. He is the research Coordinator of OAAD Epidemiology and Health Statistics Group.
