Governments, enterprises, research institutions, researchers and global talents are jointly exploring how AI technology can reshape rural industries, ecology, and governance, so that intelligent technology can become the "new engine" driving high-quality development in counties.

This grand event with the theme of "Connecting the World: AI Driving the Future" is drawing a global picture of the profound integration of artificial intelligence and modern agriculture from an international perspective.

Among them, Dr. ODII, a leader of African Talents in China (Chairman of the Global Organization of African Academic Doctors (OAAD), "China-Nigeria Rural Innovation Partnership" supporting the Nigerian Consulate General in Shanghai, China), Ph.D. from Fudan University will be particularly eye-catching, with the theme "Starting from Huinan, Pudong New Area, Shanghai Yangtze River Delta: Connecting the Grasslands of Hope in Africa through AI-Aided Modern Agriculture" heralding a new chapter in Sino-African AI agricultural cooperation.

As a high-level talent representing Africa in China, Odii will speak at the press conference about how to use Huinan Town in Pudong New Area as a starting point to promote the transformation of African modern agriculture with AI technology.

He proposed: "Africa has more than 60 per cent of the world's arable land, but agricultural efficiency is limited by technological shortcomings; China's experience in digitizing rural revitalization can provide a replicable solution for Africa”.

Odii’s announcement not only represents the voices of African scholars but also signifies Huinan Town's ascension from a hub of AI industries in the Yangtze River Delta to a global agricultural innovation hub. He said: "When Yinan's drone flies over the African savannah, and Pudong's algorithmic model runs on a Nigerian farm, that's the real benefits of AI"

From the Yangtze River Delta to the African continent: the global mission of Hui Nan Town sets off side by side with The Global Organization of African Academic Doctors (OAAD), an international organization open to PhDs of African descent at home and abroad, with members from 54 African countries and spread across more than 70 countries around the world in 5 continents.

As a research implementation and development centre, OAAD's vision is to "enhance the quality of life in Africa through research, technology and innovation."

The press conference is not only a window for technology display, but also considered a milestone in the construction of the "international rural revitalization demonstration zone" in Huinan Town.

The event is expected to attract media coverage from more than 20 domestic and international outlets, reach over 500,000 professional audiences, and facilitate the signing of 1-3 AI+agriculture projects.
