The Organisation of African Academic Doctors (OAAD)-Agricultural Research Group is dedicated to finding evidence-based solutions for Africa’s challenges via scientific inquiry that takes into account the many dimensions of Agriculture. For a comprehensive Africa-wide outlook on GMOs and the barriers to their widespread acceptance throughout Africa, check out our newest collaborative research from the Agricultural Research Group: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.foodcont.2022.109193.
We recognise the critical need to plunge headfirst into research on a range of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary issues in agriculture, including but not limited to: Animal production and management, Agrobiodiversity and genomics-assisted breeding; Seed production and germplasm conservation; Climate-smart agriculture; Smart agronomic practices and agritech innovations; Agri-food systems and dynamics; Food security and safety; Agribusiness development; Sustainable agriculture; and other emerging issues in African agri-food sector. We hold the view that this may be achieved by coordinated efforts in research. Thus, the OAAD Agricultural Research Group welcomes partnerships with both organisations and individuals working toward the same goals to better address pressing issues in African agriculture via cutting-edge scientific research.
