This is a multidisciplinary project of continental dimension and significance which presents a huge opportunity for our colleagues in OAAD to key in for a long-term mutually beneficial engagement.

The project is supported from the highest levels of global genomic innovation agencies and locally strengthened by vital continental authorities.

Arrangement has been made with the project initiator and leader to make a high-level presentation to all OAAD members because OAAD houses a significant number of experts in various fields who may be interested in a project of this nature.

As a pan-African initiative, the African BioGenome Project is aimed at strengthening the capacity and genomic infrastructure to sequence, perform genetic analyses and deploy genomic data for the betterment and sustainable use of biodiversity and agriculture in Africa.
